Ο Ήλιος, η ύλη.
Το σώμα, η ευαλωτότητα. Η μοναξιά.
Το Σώμα, σαν τόπος. Ο Άλλος, σαν τόπος συνάντησης, σαν τόπος που υπαρχει φαινομενικά αδιάφορα, λίγο πιο πέρα, έξω από αυτό που έχουμε ορίσει σαν σύνορό μας.
Στον Άλλο ήλιο, η Δανάη Σύρρου και η Όλια Λυδάκη, με εργαλείο τη σύζευξη δύο διαφορετικών καλλιτεχνικών μέσων, του χορού και των εικαστικών, παρουσιάζουν μια επιτελεστική δράση όπου ξεχωριστά σώματα επιχειρούν, μέσα από τις καταγραφές τους, να αφουγκραστούν την ύλη, τον τόπο, τον Άλλον.
ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΑ
Η Δανάη Σύρρου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Φοίτησε στην Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών και στην Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-arts στην Μασσαλία της Γαλλίας.
Έχει πραγματοποιήσει ατομικές και έχει συμμετοχές σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις και φεστιβάλ στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Ζει και εργάζεται στο Ηράκλειο Κρήτης.
Η Όλια Λυδάκη είναι χορεύτρια, χορογράφος, δασκάλα κίνησης και πιστοποιημένη δασκάλα της μεθόδου FELDENKRAIS. Είναι απόφοιτος των ανώτερων σχολών χορού Centre National de la Danse, Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers, Centre de Danse Internationale και κάτοχος των γαλλικών κρατικών πτυχίων διδασκαλίας σύγχρονου και κλασσικού χορού.
Από το 1997 συμμετείχε επαγγελματικά σε πολλά διαφορετικά χορευτικά σχήματα σε Ελλάδα και Γαλλία. Για 17 χρόνια ήταν μέλος της ομάδας χορού butoh ARIADONE της γιαπωνέζας χορεύτριας-χορογράφου Carlotta Ikeda, με έδρα το Μπορντώ της Γαλλίας.
Ζει και εργάζεται στο Ηράκλειο Κρήτης.

The sun, the substance.
The body, the fragility. The loneliness.
The body, as a location. The Other, as a place of encounter, as a place that exists seemingly indifferently, a bit further away, outside of the border we have defined for ourselves.
In Other Sun, Danae Syrrou and Olia Lydaki combine two different artistic mediums, dance and fine arts, to present a performance in which individual bodies attempt, through their seperate recordings, to explore the matter, the substance, the Other.
BIOGRAPHIES
Danae Syrrou was born in Athens. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-arts in Marseille, France.
She has held solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions and festivals in Greece and abroad. She lives and works in Heraklion, Crete.
Olia Lydaki is a dancer, choreographer, movement and contemporary dance teacher, and certified teacher of the FELDENKRAIS method. She is a graduate of the Centre National de la Danse, Centre National de Danse Contemporaine d’Angers, and Centre de Danse Internationale, and holds French state diplomas in contemporary and classical dance teaching.
Since 1997, she has participated professionally in many different dance companies in Greece and France. For 17 years, she was a member of the ARIADONE butoh dance company of Japanese dancer-choreographer Carlotta Ikeda, based in Bordeaux, France.
